SPORTLE - AITA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES TOURNAMENT (BENGALURU)

Venue - Topspin Tennis Academy, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru

Date - March 6th To March 12th

March 12th 2021 – Boys Finals
Rithin Pranay Defeats Akarsh Gaonkar comfortably 6-1, 6-1. In what was thought to be a thrilling finals, this matched turned out to be a one sided dud and Rithin was able to comfortably beat Akarsh. Rithin proved that he is the top seed for a reason. Congrats Rithin!

March 12th 2021 – Girls Finals
Sanya Masand beats Samiksha Dabas 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. In what can be called as a well balanced finals both Sanya and Samiksha played consistently well all the three sets. But finally it was Sanya’s grit that kept her balanced well in the game and won the title. Congrats Sanya!

March 11th 2021 – Boys Doubles Finals

Akarsh Goankar and Adith Amarnath bt Rishi and Skanda Prasanna 6-4 6-1

March 11th 2021 – Girls Doubles Finals

Samiksha Dabas and Soumya Ronde bt Amodini V and Jennifer C 6-3 6-1

March 11th 2021 – Boys Semi Finals 1

In a thrilling three setter, Akarsh Gaokar defeats Skanda Prasanna 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. The match was nicely fought, though Skanda made good comebacks, once in first set after being down at 1-4 and one more in second set, but ultimately it was the accuracy along consistency at which Akarsh was hitting the ball that mattered.

March 11th 2021 – Boys Semi Finals 2.

In the other semi final which too was a fought well by the lucky looser qualifier Adith Amarnath. But the top seeded Rithin’s dream run in the tournament continued and he was able to overcome the second set defeat pretty well and win the decider comfortably

March 11th 2021 – Girls Semi Finals 1.

Sanya Masand defeats Saumya Ronde 6-1 6-7(4-7) 7-6(8-6) in a super thriller three setter that can be considered as the longest match of the tournament

March 11th 2021 – Girls Semi Finals 2.

Samiksha Dabas beats Athmika Sreenivas 6-1 3-6 7-6(7-4) in another well fought match. Both players were trying their best in soaring temperature of Bangalore summer but Samiksha held her nerve well in the tie break
