DISINFECTION OF PREMISES

  •  Outdoor areas have less risk than indoor areas due to air currents and exposure to sunlight.
  • Cleaning and disinfection efforts are targeted to frequently touched/contaminated surfaces
  •  Entrances (doorknobs, handles etc.) to premise, buildings, rooms
  •  Feeding balls and the feeding baskets will be Dis-infected before and after the session
  • All common areas which are used by players, trainees, staff and visitors
  • Playing surfaces, equipment, control panels, floodlights and adjacent areas
  • Spectator area
  • Public Washrooms and toilets
  • All other surfaces which may be touched by users


SANITIAZATION AND PRECAUTIONS

  • Sanitizers are placed at entry point of all common areas and facilities
  • All surfaces, which can potentially be touched by multiple individuals, are to be sanitized at regular intervals during the day.
  • Special attention is given to surfaces in wash rooms/toilets by periodical cleaning, swabbing and disinfecting.
  • Coaches are health tested and have been trained under AITA/ITF guidelines in terms of safety and Precautionary measures.
  • Mandatory 1.5 to 2 meters (“2 Gaz-ki-doori”) distance between individuals.
  • Socializing prohibited.
  • All trainee and staff within the premises shall be wearing mask covering nose and mouth at all times while present in common areas.
  • It will be mandatory of all those involved in cleaning and sanitation activities to wear rubber gloves, closed shoes, mask covering nose and mouth at all time. Provision of adequate tissues and no-touch disposal receptacles shall be installed
  • Provision shall be made for adequate liquid soap and water.
  • Regular thermal screening shall be performed for all.


IMPLEMENTATION OF NECESSARY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

  • Compulsory screening will be performed of all persons including players/coaches/staff and visitors visiting the centers. The security personnel manning the entry gate shall perform regular thermal tests on each person entering the facility.
  • Any person exhibiting any symptom attributed to COVID-19 will be immediately prevented from entering the facility even if only mild. Symptoms could be
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Fever (e.g. night sweats or chills)
    • Shortness of breath
  • Provision of alcohol-based hand sanitizer shall be made available at the entry point and all visitors shall wash their hands before entering the complex.
  • Any person entering the complex must wear mask covering their nose and mouth.
  • Handshakes and other forms of greetings which need physical contact shall be avoided
  • For all discussions, which demand physical presence, trainees and staff shall strictly adhere to the social distancing norm of minimum 1.5 to 2 meters (“2 Gazkidoori”) between each individual.

BASELINE PRECAUTIONS FOR PLAYERS

Since Tennis is an Individual sport with no requirement for physical contact during training or competition and minimal requirement for sharing of equipment, the following precautions must be adhered to at all times without exception.

  1. Distancing norms of 1.5 to 2 meters between athletes/coaches/staff
  2. Exiting facility as soon as the game/training is concluded
  3. Personal equipment such as rackets, bottles, wristbands, towels etc. shall NOT be shared.
  4. Consistent hand sanitization is a must before, during and after every training session.
  5. Use of chairs/benches/seats shall be strictly prohibited.
  6. If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into upper sleeve or a tissue and discard it immediately in closed bin. Players, who begin to cough/sneeze for any reason, must move away from others until coughing/sneezing dissipates.
  7. Don’t spit on the ground.
  8. Do not use the locker room and showers.
  9. Do not make physical contact such as shaking hands or a high five with players / opponents / officials / spectators before, during and after the play/match.
  10. Avoid touching your face after handling a ball, racquet or other equipment.
  11. Wash your hands promptly if you have touched your eyes, nose or mouth.
  12. Avoid sharing racquet, any equipment, other items (like food, water bottle, sports drinks) with team-mates or opponents.
  13. Avoid using your hands to pick up the balls. Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent. If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet.
  14. Primary focus shall be on creating a healthy environment with quality experience, progressive training and safety of all players/trainees/staff.
  15. Exercise shall be allowed using personal equipment, which shall not be shared by any other trainee.
  16. In case of Covid-19 symptoms in a player, immediately inform Coach/Tournament Director/Site in-charge. The player must be immediately checked by onsite doctor or taken to Hospital for Doctor check-up.
  17. Players to keep their bags, equipment separate.
  18. Mandatory use of Arogya Setu app.
